GFG 2009

Greetings Girlfriends,

The planning of this year’s Girlfriends Get-a-Way has been very interesting. I have toyed around for months on what exactly the 2009 theme would be. Many of  you that have attended the conference for the past two years are aware that I like to start off my message to you with an attention grabber or something catchy. I guess it’s just the event planner in me. Unfortunately, everything “catchy” that I thought of was not making the cut, so I decided to push the attention grabber to the side and just speak  from the heart.

The theme for 2009’s GFG is “Get Back to the Basics.” This year the state of the world is becoming more and more uncertain and living in defeat and hoping the situation goes away is not the solution. In order for us to have victory over the uncertainties in life, we must stay focused and hold on to the one thing in our life that is consistent, our faith.This year at GFG we are going to focus on some of God’s most basic biblical principals. This year is designed to provide you with wisdom regarding some of the  principals and to show you how to practically apply them to your life so that you can get results.

Not having wisdom on the most basic biblical principals can be the one thing that is often holding us back from experiencing victory in certain areas of our lives. It’s amazing how applying the smallest snippet of wisdom can change ones life. It can be something so minor as changing the words that you speak or learning how to truly walk in faith. I know some of you might be familiar with some of these truths. Well this GFG will add to your knowledge, provide you with fresh revelation and encourage you to continuously apply these principals to your life. Besides, everyone needs a friendly reminder. There might be some of you that might not have a clue about any biblical principals. Well guess what, at some point I did not either. This GFG will be just what you need to experience the victory in your life that you have been seeking. Whatever category you are in just know it will be life changing.

But guess what ladies, although GFG is a great tool to get you inspired the responsibility is ultimately up to you. You can't just leave the retreat all motivated, not apply what you learned to your life and expect to get results. James 1:22 encourages us to "be doers of the Word and not just merely listeners to it." Listening with no application will not grow the results you are seeking in your life. 

Join us for GFG 2009 as we  relax, refresh, refocus and “Get Back to the Basics.” Like I always say, what goes on with the girlfriends, stays with the girlfriends.
